This wine's name "Papillon" means "Butterfly" in English. What does a dog have to do with a butterfly? Granted, it's an excellent pic of the pooch. But, still, I'm a little confused about their branding goal here.

On the whole, though, I've noticed an upswing in the quality of wines from the Northwest. Probably has something to do with the age of the vines and seasonal rain fall and other various factors only known to dirt heads in that part of the country. Whatever they’re doing, it’s working.

Apparently the Papillion is also a breed of toy dog. With fine bone structure and big ears and facial fur that makes it look like a butterfly...
